I have to adjust the settings (date, rec type, etc.) every time I turn on the camera. Although I leave it with its electric adapter connected more than 24 hours, after about 3 days it looses its initial settings.
I think that replacing the internal battery needs service.
I have this camera from 2009 and this is the only problem i met.
The only solution i found is to leave an external battery connected with the device, but this means empty out of battery.

At last, correct me if I am wrong, but I think that the camera isn't compatible with 64gb SDXC UHS-I U1 U3 cards till now. Only plain SDXC cards can read.
