Does the photog ever snap you working and then let you have the shot? It's happened quite a few times to me - I find them useful to present the 'human' side of my business :)

It's happened quite a few times to me - I find them useful to present the 'human' side of my business :) Rob Cantwell March 16th, 2014, 05:40 AM i've been caught ok by a photographer here and there but not on purpose as far as i know, but at a few non-wedding events i've seen other videographers filming me, why i don't know? :) Chris Harding March 16th, 2014, 06:41 AM Quite often the photog will take a shot of me working but I have never had one send me the image!! For the same reason I never ask a photog to shoot DVD cover images for me ..you will never get the image!! Chris Tim Bakland March 18th, 2014, 08:42 AM Chris - The trick for DVD covers is to ask the bride. When *she* asks the photog for a few hi-res originals to be emailed to me for the covers, it always happens. I can't remember the last time that didn't work for me. And I always give the photog attributions. So everyone's happy. Jeff Harper March 18th, 2014, 10:38 AM + Tim. Yep, ask the bride if you need photos for any reason. I shoot my own now, but back when I didn't, I rarely had trouble getting a full CD from the bride. Danny O'Neill March 18th, 2014, 02:22 PM They always snap me from behind which shows my bald spot. Chris Harding March 18th, 2014, 08:44 PM Getting old sucks Danny!! Remember the good old days when we all had a big mop of hair and the word bald wasn't even in our vocabulary ! Correct ..the photog has to obey the bride BUT most photogs take ages to even look at the photos and we deliver the bride's DVD's in 7 days so I take both Nikons anyway and just shoot 6 shoots that suit my crop too for DVD disk images, DVD covers and also menus. That way I have the pics immediately so there is no holdups Chris |
