It's quite a nice video, but I didn't see the microphone anywhere in it. :-P

(sounds great through my Event 20/20 monitoring speakers)

Interesting!

Just a thought: if the operator sneezes while recording .... it's going to be in stereo? :-)

Hi Wolfgang,

I am a bit puzzled by your prototype pocket camera powered microphone as I did not think there was any power available from the BMPCC.

However I am impressed with the amount of detail and the shades of colour in your shots.

Were you using ProRes HQ or DNG and also what lens were you using?

The BMPCC has 2.47 V PlugIn Power, no problem...

demo filmed in Prores "Film", 24 fps, 800ASA, Shutter Angle180, (100 Euro Lens) Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 14-42mm F1:3,5-5,6 - sharpness + color in Premiere Pro CS6.

Thanks Wolfgang,

Interesting, I have tested the same lens but was very disappointed with its sharpness and I returned it to my supplier. At that stage I did not add any sharpening which I am now trying with other lenses.

Hi and thanks again Wolfgang,

More contrast and a bit more definition with the Nikon, is it the 60mm Micro Nikkor? What should I think about the colour patterns?

I don't quite understand this topic, is it because you are going to try to sell the mic setup and are keeping what it all is a secret for now?

Anyways the sound sounds amazing to me so if you will ever share what it is and how to set it up please tell me as I would like to see how much all the pieces cost and if it is practical to build one myself, whatever it is that is.

Dylan,
I am guilty of taking this thread off topic but I have also wondered about its original purpose. In the absence of any other information it looks as though the headphone diaphragms are being used as microphones with their outputs being fed into the BMPCC mic input. This would explain the placement of the wind protection fur patches but not the power consumption.

Sorry, my english is very bad.....

I developed this microphone for my pocket. in Germany there are a very large forum page to: slashCAM Forum :: Thema - Ultra Kompaktes externes Mikro für Pocket Kamera! MicW? (http://forum.slashcam.de/4-vt112831.html?postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=105)

at the moment, it is still a prototype. I am the developer of the "Ohrwurm" microphone, this is my second development. OHRWURM AUDIO (http://www.fxcinema.de/ohrwurmaudio/)

It is awesome for the little pocket, it is a headset which works for the sound control, at the same time the sound over the outer surfaces of the headphones is recorded.
a few parts are a problem, they come from the military area. I only get this in a couple of weeks in larger quantities. the price for this mikrofon (Pocket, DSLR, SD-Recorder...) is ca. 160 euros - handmade ;-)

Hi wolfgang, I don't understand anything whatsoever about it but I can say the sound off your demo video is amazing so if you finish something that you sell you can prv message me as long as I don't have to hack anything to make it work with the bmpcc

At the time my microphone in Europe is torn from my hands. I only have today 5 pieces to sell (the next in 4-6 Weeks). There are problems with the delivery of some special parts.

I must say, you've done an excellent job of eliminating that annoying 'ping' sound. :-D

LOL!

I just do not want yet to mount on my small pocket more devices. Small, lightweight and agile like a Super 8 camera. ;-)
