Noa Put

Not sure where to put this as there is no sony rx10 section yet, anyways, did another quick non scientific test to compare the audio of the inbuild mics of my camera's, my impression was that the sony rx10 did very well and I just wanted to know how it compared
Some might say never use the internal mike from the camera but for weddings there are several occasions where I need to shoot fast and easy and don't want anything on camera, just grab the thing and start shooting and capture ambient sound in a good enough way, I have tried to set the levels from each camera the same and came up with following test for those who might be interested. I know this is not a real audio test but good enough for my purpose.
I just pointed my pc speakers towards the camera's (which where 2 meter from the soundspeaker, the room where I recorded in was 4 by 4 meter) and recorded some spoken sound, a bit of music with heavy bass and a silent part but then with a lot of gain added in post to see how much "noise" was in the background, there is a car passing in the background that you can hear at the end of the "silent" recording. There is only one camera that disappoints and for which I need a external mike to get better audio quality.
You need ofcourse a good soundsystem to hear the differences best.
