At only £41 I thought I'd give it a go - what a revelation - well engineered, comes with a screw attachment and 4 popular connectors - 3.5mm jack/sennheiser jack/2 types mini xlr.
It has no battery, taking it's power from 'plug-in-power' (will work with Zooms/Olympus mp3 recorders etc) and has a cardiod polar pattern. It comes with 2 wndsheilds and 2 tie clips. The cable length is nice and short as well - unlike my soon to be retired Audio Technica mics which have a 6m cable and bulky battery compartment
I tested it alongside my Sennheiser ME2 mics using my Olympus WM311 recorder and I was pleasantly surprised. The output is a little lower but adding 9db in Premiere brought that up nicely - it's a little crisper then the ME2 but I like it, it seems to make the ME2 sound a little murky in comparison - I'm going to buy another as a backup.
