If you're going to use a green screen to fake looking over the field during post game coverage, please fix the contrast on the screen to fix the cheese factor. Bowl SEASON!

I've noticed a whole lot of very sloppy technical work on network television. Jump cuts, Audio that's too hot and distorted, cutting to shots of talent that talks to the other camera, bad lighting, and bad camera work. I'm convinced that the networks are hiring youtubers. My personal pet peeve is when the talent talks to the "other" camera, like on youtube.

A lot of the "old timers" are retiring or being retired. It all comes down to money. If you can hire a cameraman or an audio person for $25.00 p/h instead of $50.00 and not have to pay in as much in benefits what would you do if you were running the show?
Sure the quality might not be as good but hey, no one is going to notice the public just wants to see the game! (I think that's what the showrunners might be thinking-bad thoughts IMO)

I know a couple guys crewing up for this:

Winter X Games 2014 Aspen - X Games (http://xgames.espn.go.com/)

and then the whole show comes to Austin for X Games at Circuit of the Americas...

Labour is such an inconsequential cost compared to the rest of putting on a big live event like that. I happily pay my multicamera shooters (conferences and conventions now but I used to crew for AHL hockey games...) well to get the best folks who I know I can trust to get the shot and NOT break stuff or drop lenses...

yea, it's amazing that we still see absurdly shaky MLB shots. makes me wonder every time just how they're spending those hot dog and beer dollars
