When connecting my FS700 or GH3 to the nanoflash I do not receive sound over hdmi. Am I doing something wrong?

Did you check your Audio menu and made sure the source was set to "Embedded" rather than "Analog?"

Yes, I did. When testing the nanoflash on my FS700 it works perfectly with sdi-input, but loses sound the moment I use an hdmi-cable and switch the nano to hdmi source. Picture is okay, it is just the sound and audio is indeed set on embedded.

Odd indeed. Never tried the FS700 on HDMI so dragged it out to check. Once Nano was set to HDMI and embedded audio all seems to be fine. Have you tried another HDMI cable? I have had a couple that failed in a short time. One just stopped working for no apparent reason. Fine one day gone the next.

Tried it with three different cameras and two different cables, one new from the box.

Hmm! Sounds not too promising. Sounds like Nano might be sick. Wonder if Convergent Design will chip in.

It is definitely the nanoflash that is faulty. When using the same cables to connect the same cameras to another device it all works perfectly.
