Hey Kent, I recently bought a GH3 as well. Wanted to find out how to get it setup for great results. Here's what I found helpful.
For a quick overview I found this site helpful. The free version is a short 7 chapters but some good general knowledge stuff.
The Ultimate Panasonic GH3 Guide | OSGFilms (http://osgfilms.com/gh3-guide/)
Also on YouTube > Hybrid Photo has a 4 part video in "Setting up your GH3 like a Boss". It was very informative.
Here's the link to Part 1.
Setup Your GH3 Like a BOSS - Part 1 of 4 Function Buttons - YouTube
They may help you decide either way.

Thank you Jeff,
I will study the free stuff first. Curious what others have to say about the various tutorials.
It is a great camera. I do have issues with the instructional manual.

I purchased the John Grengo tutorial from Creative Live. I enjoyed it and thought it worth the money and effort.
Enjoy

Kent…… thank you for the heads up on this!! Boom! Done 10 minutes ago. Who wasn't waiting for a finely done master creative book for the GH3??
What an awesome piece of equipment this is, especially with the good glass. PITA disappearing shooting information from the displays notwithstanding. Pat self on back frequently.
My first glance scrolling through reminds me so much of an equally excellent e-book on my Sony A77 recently purchased as well, by Gary Friedman.

After studying both tutorials I am convinced that every GH3 user needs them both. The John Greengo tutorial explains the nuances of the complex menu system.
Happy New Year

Don't know if you are into still images as well but all these were shot on the GH3:
