Hi guys,
I have 2 lavalier AT831R that plug into their power modules and from the power modules I connect them to my Beachtek DXA-SLR PRO via xlr cables. Since the mics are being powered by their respective power modules, is there any advantage of choosing the setting "Phantom Power" instead of "Mic" on the Beachtek? I've tested recording with both and quality wise it sounded the same. If there is nothing to gain I'll go with "Mic", as I've read phatom power drains the Beachtek's batts pretty fast and this way I won't have to be looking at the low batt light all the time.
