Trying to determine whether an AX 20 is going to be sufficient for theatre and dance events with spotlights.

Can someone tell me how this works? I've never used a spotlight mode before. And when I say how it works I mean, can you assign it to a button? If so ... can this be used both in Shutter Priority mode or full manual?

I'm off to check out some videos on youtube about the camera, but one other question ... does the 20 use a wheel at the back to control the iris or is it located somewhere else?

Thanks

Spotlight mode is one of several available programmed automatic exposure modes, and would not apply in manual mode and probably not in Av or Tv modes either.

The custom dial is at the lower front of the camcorder on the left side. See page 96 of the user manual.

Assignable buttons are described on pager 97.

Thanks Don. I'll download the manual this afternoon.
