I have a new hexa with a new gimbal. The new gimbal is fantastic. Its the DJI zenmuse HD-3 for the Gopro black. It is unbelieveable. Now, I want its big brother the zenmuse Z-15
However I dont own any of the cameras the larger Zenmuse's are build for.
They make them for the Sony Nex 5, Panasonic GH2 or the GH3.
I would love to have the DJI Gimbal and the GH3
But....here are the results with the Hero Gimbal

Nice AP.
Not sure how long you've been shooting AP from MR's or if your looking for advice?
I think you might find that depending on how your Hex is setup, it might take an Octo/X8 to fly as heavy a payload with a gimbal and GH3. Plus there are some good, less expensive alternatives to the Zenmuse.
Here's a [aerial] video shot with an NEX5:
Otter Kodiak Beauty - Past, Present & Future - Shot with XP2 and NEX 5R - YouTube
I believe he used the larger version, which has not been released yet, of this gimbal:
XProHeli Brushless Gimbals and Accessories | XProHeli (http://xproheli.com/collections/gimbals)
I don't know how much this gimbal will cost but I like how simply it can be taken off the multi and then used as a handheld gimbal I guess my point is that there's a lot of good less expensive alternatives to DJI that can be used for more things than just AP.

The Larger Zenmuse is a dream. My budget will limit me to one of these two
Most likely this one
http://www.uavobjects.com/product/legacy-3-axis-aerial-version-dslr-brushless-gimbal/
but Im also looking at this one
AURA Brushless DSLR Gimbal (http://copterframes.net/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=132)
I have an rctimer gopro gimbal and its performance doesnt compare to the DJI Gopro gimbal. Im hoping one of the two above will allow me to carry what I own now ( Canon T3i)
My multi can handle the payload, its a tarot 960 with 15 inch props, 6s and 320kv motors.
Ive been at ap for several years, mostly at the higher end of hobby. Started in helicopters. I have a trex streched to 800 with DJI ace one and a Triax servo driven gimbal. I went to multi's about two years ago.
Just been waiting for the FAA
