So i was looking for a nice, non-korean (off brand with dead pixels/misc odd stuff) monitor to replace two ancient (circa 2007) LG 1440x900 monitors, and came across this.
Newegg.com - Acer B6 B276HULymiidprz Black 27" 6ms (GTG) IPS-Panel HDMI height&pivot adjustable Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor 350 cd/m2 100,000,000:1 (1,000:1) w/speakers&USB3.0 Hub (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009553&Tpk=B276HUL%20YMIIDPRZ)
I had bought two korean/off brand units for $350 each, one died after a week, and the second had a few dead pixels that decided to have kids both went home.
In any event, i had a chance to check out this versus the Asus 100% sRGB gamut monitors (only 1080P 22 or 24 inch) in person, and this is a heck of a deal for $450. Everywhere else it appears to be $550 or more.
I love IPS displays; after buying the Lilliput 660 O/P, i decided to wait and skip LED LCD's for a single IPS LED with ultra high resolution. I have excellent vision (i can easily pick out pixels on my Galaxy S4 and GF's iPhone 5), and this is one hell of a monitor for a very nice price.
Thought i'd share.
