Looks like Panasonic has released an update for the AC90. Only update mentioned is the Pre-Rec fix, not turning off when Rec/Stop is pressed. The very reason I never used it. Might be useful now.
Here's the link: AC90 (http://eww.pass.panasonic.co.jp/pro-av/support/content/download/EN/ep2main/soft/ac90/ac90.htm)

"Last Update November 5, 2013"
I guess it must be an update from the future.
How did you find this link?
I also wonder if it adds or fixes anything else. Companies won't always say everything a software update has.
I don't see a download link to the firmware. Maybe they'll be a download link on November 5.

I know the 5th, thought that was weird. When I saw the update I asked my wife what day it was, I thought I knew but wanted to make sure.
There is a download already. I tried to post that link but couldn't. Go here http://eww.pass.panasonic.co.jp/p2ui/guest/TopLogin.do?lang=en&category=pav and type AC90 into the search on the middle left and then you will see the download in the results.
I was reading Barry Green's book again and read where to go check for firmware updates.
