Are you an inspiring independent filmmaker? Would you like to learn more about the emerging market of event filmmaking? Come and join Joe Simon as he discusses his creative evolution from action sports to becoming an industry-leading event filmmaker. He’ll discuss his wide range of subject matter and how the versatility of the EOS C100 fits his production requirements. From preproduction to post-production, learn how to take your projects to the next level on this amazing camera. Joe will also cover the features and benefits of the EOS C100 and the contents of his equipment bag that get him through even the most stressful wedding shoots. In addition, there will be a hands on demonstration with support gear from Kessler Crane and Glidecam, as well as color grading on DaVinci Resolve.
Joe is a filmmaker, extreme sports enthusiast and co-founder of Mutiny Bikes, a BMX bike company and riding team. While his hobbies include BMX, Joe’s true passion for filmmaking led him to create Joe Simon Films in 1999 and The Delivery Men in 2011. Drawing experience from an array of different shooting environments including extreme sports, indie films, music videos and live events, Joe has been able to create a signature look all his own. His current cinema-documentary productions include HD, super 8mm and 16mm film. Joe’s international filmmaking work has earned him multiple awards including EventDV magazine’s “Top 25″ three years in a row. His work has been featured on The Discovery Channel, NFL Network, Zacuto’s “Filmfellas” online web series, among others.
