We are deeply dissatisfied with the way in which DSLR Pros does business. This was our experience:
Ordered the helicopter July 29, 2013
Heard nothing for weeks
Called in mid-Aug. and were told the helicopter had backordered parts, but that it would ship in a couple of weeks
More weeks went by with no word
Called on September 16, 2013 and were told they had a bad batch of 'gimballs' and that it was shipping out later that day and would arrive the following week
It did not arrive
Called and spoke with someone named Michael on September 26, 2013, asking why it did not ship. He said it never shipped, but it could go out later that day
We asked if the shipping could be expedited in any way and were denied
The glaring issue we had with DSLR Pros was that they neglected their paying customer.
We ordered this helicopter (in late July) specifically for a corporate film job we would be completing at the end of September. We were unable to use it at all by the time it arrived October 2, 2013.
We were never updated on the item's backorder status without having to call ourselves, and we were never provided a tracking number when the item finally shipped.
When the helicopter arrived:
It arrived with no original packaging or paperwork/manuals
We were promised extra accessories to be thrown in to compensate us for all of the troubles we had. There were none included.
It is terrible for anyone to have to pay that amount of money and have no idea where it is, or if it's ever going to be on its way. We caution film and video professionals to stay away from this company and to order elsewhere.
