Any Davinci Resolve Lite users? and do you recommend it?

I'm going to take a look at it tonight. I watched a tutorial on the image stabilisation and it looks very good! Better than my current VirtualDub Deshaker process.

Does it have colour grading presets?

It's a great product but a bit of a sledgehammer to crack a nut compared to just using the colour correction features built in to your NLE or using a plugin like Magic Bullet Colorista.

Good grief! What's your workflow if you are using VirtualDub Deshaker? There are various good easy to use stabilisation products like ProDAD Mercalli or CoreMelt Lock'n'Load not to mention Warp Stabiliser built in to Premiere Pro & equivalent functionality in FCP X.

I've had issues with a few other third party plugins for Vegas. They either don't perform well, or strangely the effects don't apply on mp4 renders even though they do on timeline.

I actually found that Deshaker was one of the best I had seen. But it would be great to do it within Vegas itself.

Clive, regarding Mercali showing stabilization on the TL but not on the render, I've found thayt you have to render the event and also put the effect last in the chain with Vegas. I had this same problem and it was really a pain but that's the process that works for me.

Hi Chris, thanks for the tips. When you say render, do you mean Dynamic Ram Preview, or Selectively Pre-render Video... or Render To New Track.

If either of the last two, which settings?

Thanks.

Clive, I just render that particular event as an .mxf and bring it back into Vegas then delete the original.
