Hi everyone!
I am a hobbyist videographer. I own three Canon Vixia HF11's.
Last week, one of the HF11s developed an issue where it would show a black screen when I tried to load the video or photo recording modes. Playback modes would load correctly. Using the reset button temporarily fixed the problem with the black screen.
Now, it refuses to focus and the zoom function doesn't always work. Could this be related to using generic battery packs? I've been using BP-827 clones, though I do own one genuine BP-827 which I'd be willing to use if it solved the problem.
This is frustrating. I use my own equipment to try to produce professional-level projects, but I don't charge. So, now I'm one camera down without the finances to replace it. :-(
