I recently shot a multi GoPro timelapse using both Hero3 & Hero3+ cameras. The Hero3+ stills were all soft and had roughly half the file size, compared to the Hero3 stills. All cameras were set to 12Mb Wide.
Anybody else seen this issue?
PS Video focus is fine on both Hero3 & Hero3+

This very extensive thread GoPro User Forum • View topic - Difference in focal range sharpness Hero3 Blk vs Plus (http://goprouser.freeforums.org/viewtopic.php?f=111&t=14637) discusses the change in focus range. It seems that the + version sacrifices distant focus for improved sharpness at very close distances.

There's still some debate about the degree of difference, and whether this is an intentional change or the result of manufacturing tolerances.
