Does anyone know if the HXR-NX30 has an HDMI out that does not have the wrap around? It doesn't have to be “clean” or “progressive” I just want to keep the menus off the output, that is, I don’t want to see camera settings on HDMI output.

Yes you can set this up in the setup menu. Choices are to LCD or V-out/panel. HDMI can also be set to include timecode so that external recorders will have this information in sync with internal memory. Just checked on my unit to make sure.
