Anyone tried this from R.J.Camera?
Canon EOS EF lens focal reducer speed booster adapter to Sony NEX 5 6 7 FS700 FS100 VG20 EA50 (http://www.rjcamera.com/ocart/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=77)
I have a metabones for my EA50 but want an adapter so I can use my Samyang 14mm with my VG20 - I have a dumb adapter but it crops and I don't really want to spend top bucks on another metabones - It's really only for steadicam work.

It's a new version better than the Zhongyi/Mitakon version (although it doesn't look as well built). This one looks like it will FIT the EA50/VG20.
I would go for it ...
I'm looking to buy an FD to NEX one myself.

Thanks James - just found this review on You Tube
I could just use my Metabones but the constant swapping around is too time consuming plus I risk getting dust on my sensor

At £90 I'll go for it - no doubt have to be prepared for customs and post office to add some cost though :/

How does that come into play with a lens like this?
Samyang 85mm f/1.4 Aspherical Lens for Canon SY85M-C B&H Photo
Its already at 1.4 can it actually let MORE light in?

Peter,
Metabones is not a third party replicator for the budget market. You are very happy with their speed booster. For a second adapter go for the Mark II (maybe Mark III now). It is $200.00 less than the speed booster but it is the same quality you have already had success with. JMHO.

When is Metabones coming out with an FD to NEX adapter ??? I would be all over it like a rash ... rather than wasting my money on cheap copies.
