Was wondering if you can suggest how I can add a panning sparkle through my text ...

So for example, I want a "A James Manford Film" to fade in, which will be written in an italic calligraphy style GOLD coloured font, and then I want a panning sparkle to go through the gold/yellow text. I don't want the glow/sparkle to pan OUTSIDE of the borders of the text, but within the lines of the text. So it shouldn't create a lens flare, or effect the video in the back drop of the text. The effect needs to occur within the borders/lines of the text.

I've tried a few things with Sony Text Media generator, but just can't get the desired effect.

Hoping one of you experts or enthusiasts with the know how can suggest a few ideas.

OK, just took initiative and searched through Youtube. I believe the effect I want to achieve can be done using a video overlay.

Can some one tell me how I can add a video overlay of a flare to JUST the Sony media text in Vegas?

Hi James, can you tell us how you did it? Also, how are you finding the Cx730 you bought a few weeks back. I have two now and think they're brilliant. They cut seamlessly with my AC 160's.
