I've got a gig on Sunday flying the scarlet and the director asked me if it would be possible to mount a BMC camera on the bottom in a 'low mode' - "it'll save time"
I'm tempted to give it a try but it could be a cow to try and balance a camera on the top & the bottom - anyone tried anything like this?

does your director want fries with that?
i mean, gopro- sure, maybe even GH2 or GH3 depending on the lens, but BMC is kinda pushing it,
it's doable, unless you'll go over the load capacity of the unit, but it'll take you some time to design that setup and balance it. After all it's your call; i did some shots with gopro on the side, but's it's light

OK Buba, besides the really nice video that looked like a TON of fun to shoot!!

Well it worked pretty well! the setup wasn't that hard and it certainly helped getting low shots at the same time - that was until the BMC ran out of battery - we had it hooked up to a V-Mount but the cable was faulty, so it ran on internal battery and from then on it was just a counter weight.
