Up for sale is my much loved Sony PMW-EX3 along with everything else i have that goes with it. I really am only interested in selling everything together as a package.
Included in the package is the original SxS card reader, battery charger, 8gig SxS card & 32gig SxS card, BP-U30 battery pack, BP-U60 battery pack, & RM-F300 remote control. Along with these standard accessories, are 2, MxR adaptors to use SD cards for which i have a 32gig Sandisk Extreme card for each. (These will do overcranking at 720p!) MxR USB card reader. 1 Series 7 EX-L96 Battery Pack with D-tap. Manfrotto pan handle remote. Nikon lens adaptor to use Nikon mount SLR lenses. Vortex media DVD & field guide. Vortex media warm cards. Kata Rain cover, & Kata backpack with extra foam pieces for customizing.
The camera is in fantastic condition with only 241 hours on it & works perfectly. Lens is flawless with a B+W slim UV filter on it. It has a DM accessories shoe mount to replace the flimsy original mic holder. It also comes with a DM accessories shoulder mount that really makes mounting the camera to a tripod far more stable. Original accessories that are not included are the cheek pad & 1/2" lens adaptor.
I am willing to ship anywhere in Canada & Con. US, but buyer will need to pay shipping.
Payment will be through Paypal only.
Price $5000 OBO.
P.S. Been trying to upload some photos, but for whatever reason don't seem to be able to. I will try again in the morning.

Hi Everyone,

I've never posted For Sale gear on this board, I usually use Craigslist or eBay, but I thought I'd try here also.

This listing is for a complete Sony PMW-EX1 package. I am the original owner of all items included. Everything is in perfect working condition and has been well taken care of.
The EX1 is in great shape and has no issues. All menu options operate 100% and there are no problems with the camera. The camera was serviced by Sony here in Vancouver
last year just to have the latest firmware updated. The technician included a note on the service receipt that reads "mint condition". All function buttons and markings have ZERO paint wear.
Both batteries hold good charges.

I am only selling this camera because I am changing to a different format. Compared to any other EX1 on Craigslist or eBay, this camera has the lowest hours of use and is in perfect
condition.

Sony PMW-EX1
- Hour usage: 112 (very low for this camera)

Includes original;
- manual & booklets
- all original cables
- Sony Strap
- remote unit
- battery charger and cable
- BD-60 Battery
- BD-100 Battery
- 77mm UV filter (slim model that fits under attached matte box.
- wind sock for on-camera microphone
- Vortex Media - Mastering the Sony PMW-EX1 Camera DVD

Sony SxS 8GB cards x2
- Includes original carry cases

Expresscard adaptor for SDHC cards
- This can be used in place of the Sony SxS cards and offers much greater storage.

I am an honest seller/buyer and I stand behind what I'm offering.

$3000.

Thank you.

For Sale:

Panasonic GH2 plus 14-140mm lens.
$849 or best offer...

I would also entertain selling just the GH2 body as I have someone also interested in just the lens

This is an incredible camera for the hobbyist and professional alike.

I bought this a few years ago as a backup for my HD video camera, so it has very little use.

The lens has a built in Optical Image Stabilization system and sells online for $625 to 699.
The GH2 body only sells used on Amazon for $459, so you know this is a great deal!

I have several dozen Hitachi 4TB, 7200 RPM, SATA III, 6 GB/s Enterprise Drives still under Warranty that I am selling, model number HUS724040ALE640.
These are like new. They were used in a cloud storage system for a few months and recently pulled because the storage had to be relocated and plans changed. The S.M.A.R.T. data shows they were on for a total of 151 days. These are made for years of 24/7 operation.

The drives are under USA factory warranty until the end of September 2017.
Asking $170 each for 1 to 3, $160 each for 4-9. $150 each for 10 or more. (Same drive at B&H is $300 ) Buyer pays for shipping.

I also have the same drive with HGST (Hitachi) UK factory warranty until Jan. or Feb. 2018. I'll sell these for $140 plus shipping in any quantity. You can use the warranty if you are in the States, you just need a UK address for HGST to ship the replacement drive to.

Drives are packed and stored in anti-static clamshells. Guaranteed against DOA.

Cash, check or Paypal all okay. I'm in the L.A. area, so pick up is welcome.

I've bought and sold through here in the past. You can see who I am by visiting my website Yeshua's Harvest (http://www.yeshuasharvest.org). You can reach through pm or call me on the 855# listed on our website.

A note about the drives:
These are the best drives for Raid Arrays. The most important distinction between these Enterprise drives and consumer desktop and NAS drives is that these Ultrastars have an Unrecoverable Read Error (URE) rate of 1x10^15 instead of the 1x10^14 URE that desktop or NAS drives have. What that means in practical terms is that, with only a 1014 URE and the loss of a drive in a RAID 5 or RAID 6 array, there is a fair probability that another drive in the array could suffer a URE while rebuilding the array and you could lose all your data. Running a RAID 6 instead of a RAID 5 definitely helps lower the probability of that type of total data loss, but it is still pretty risky; however, with a URE of 10^15, the probability of a URE causing a total failure on rebuild is reduced by a factor of 10! That is why RAID systems designers highly suggest to use enterprise drives in parity arrays.

Beyond URE though, these Ultrastars have a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 2.0 Million Hours versus the MTBF of NAS drives of 800,000 to 1 Million Hours.
In other words, these are far more reliable drives than you get with NAS or desktop drives.

They also have a number of other important features that make them ideal for 24/7 operation in RAID and server systems.

That's why Hitachi sells them with 5 year warranties instead of 2 or 3 year warranties.

Attached is a screen shot from Hard Disk Sentinel. All disks are tested and 100% healthy.

Attached are some screenshots of BMD Diskspeed running various configurations.

Great condition, just upgraded to the 400 series, but still pains me to let this set go for how well it has served me. In short: this set &*$#ing rocks!

I use Sennheiser G2 & G3 mics at work and we have hits in them on a frequent basis. Only time I ever remember hearing a poor signal with this set is when Rx & Tx were separated by two thick stone walls of an old church. The rest of the time, rock solid performance.

Hi all,

I'm selling my Sony SCL-Z18X140 14x (18-252mm) zoom lens.

I have been using it on the F5 for a year. It's incredibly sharp and has a range like no other S35 cine lens. This lens is a great all-in-one lens. This particular one has even filmed The Queen! The Lens is in perfect working order with very few signs of use. Glass is perfect. I used it without the servo and added a wooden handgrip which made for a great ENG style setup.

Only selling as I've bought a Cabrio. I nearly kept it for the additional reach (252mm vs 90mm!) but can't justify both.

Asking £3995 or $6695 ono. I need to charge 20% VAT in the UK or in EU without a valid VAT number.

Please email for info or more pics: mmarriage (at) orange (dot) net or call on +44 (0) 7773 179773.

Based near London, UK

Thanks

Due to weight, local Vancouver pickup only.

Looking to get into multicamera live switched video production?

I spec'ed and built this system myself for fast setup and portability.

16 RU Rack by DJK Cases
2 x HyperDeck Studio SSD recorders
2 x ART power distribution modules
1 x SmartView HD 19" rackmount monitor for multiview
1 x Behringer line level mixer (16 channel)
2 x Behringer Shark audio effects for audio line delay so no more "lip flap"
AND...
1 x BlackMagic Design ATEM 1ME single mix-effect buss video switcher

Plus all the required cabling, installed and secured in this fast set up mobile switching platform.

Show up with cash and no dickering and I'll throw in 4 OCZ 240GB SSD drives to make the HyperDecks work. I might even throw in a dock if you're nice.

I also have some RG-59 HD-SDI ready video cables in lengths from 100 feet to 10 feet I'd be motivated to add to sweeten the deal.

What do you need to bring to the table?

A laptop that will run the host software. I can demo with my laptop. You SHOULD have some basic networking skills as well to make the system hook up to your laptop but once you have set it up once, just plug and play.

What does the ATEM switcher support?

Don't show up with a dSLR and expect this thing to work. This switcher is modelled on real broadcast switchers and likes to see 1.5Gbps video signals on its 4 HD-SDI and 4 HDMI inputs. There are no input scalers on any of the ATEM designs so all sources must be the same. EX1s, EX3s, FS100s, FS700s, a bunch of Panasonics, the C100 and C300s will all work with the camera outputs set correctly. I've had great luck getting GoPro Hero 3 Black cameras to work as well.

I also have plenty of other live switching toys and problem solvers around here including VGA distribution amps (2 different levels) and "Anything-In to HD-SDI-Out" converters that aren't included but I can sell seperately.

Great for TV studio type productions, conferences/conventions, webcasts, wedding receptions, worship services...

Zach,

I have some questions:

This unit is out of the frequency spectrum that was taken away?

Can you input a line level feed into the transmitter?

How long does a fresh battery last?

Why did you upgrade and what is better with the 400s?

Thanks

Zach Love
August 12th, 2014, 11:42 AM
This unit is out of the frequency spectrum that was taken away?

Not even close. Currently in the US it is the 700MHz (specifically 698 to 806 MHz) that is illegal to use. For Lectrosonics units, this is Blocks 27, 28 & 29.

There has been some chatter from the FCC about auctioning off parts of the 600MHz spectrum. Nothing put into action yet, but I heard from a colleague that he got a recommendation from a salesman at B&H to stick to the 500MHz spectrum in case something passes.

(I really hope this doesn't happen b/c at work I use Sennheiser G2 & G3 units which are all in the 600MHz & it would be a pain to get new units. But for my personal equipment I am very glad I have units in the 500MHz spectrum.)

Can you input a line level feed into the transmitter?

Yes, but you need an attenuator. I have a XLR to TA5F cable with an attenuator built in, like this one on eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/LECTROSONICS-TRANSMITTER-AUDIO-INPUT-CABLE-LINE-LEVEL-XLR3F-TO-TA5F-ALL-TX-/370982694862?pt=US_Cables_Snakes_Interconnects&hash=item56604aafce).

I also have a XLR to TA5F cable that is a little longer which can be used with a dynamic mic, Shure SM58 / Electrovoice RE50b, if you don't have a cube transmitter.

How long does a fresh battery last?

From my experience, I'd say about 3-4 hours w/ a fresh 9volt. I usually switch after a little more than 2 hours. The receiver has a display with battery level for both receiver and transmitter, so you can keep an eye on the level & see when you need to switch.

(According to the manual standard 9v alkaline will last 3.5 - 4 hours, but a lithium will last 7 hours.)

Why did you upgrade and what is better with the 400s?

I talked with the guys at NAB & I think I've drank the Lectrsonics cool-aid (except for their VHF units, I never want to touch one of those ever again). So I'm Upgrading mostly because I've been wanting to for a very long time, sold some other equipment and finally took the jump for the upgrade.

I think the biggest thing is that the analog 100 & 200 series have companders (compress the audio before transmission?) and the digital 400 series don't have companders. Plus the 400 series can be set to work with previous, non-digital, transmitters.

That all being said, I have loved, loved, loved this set. It really has served me extremely well and I've never had trouble with it. Much nicer sound than what I get at work with Sennheiser G2 / G3 systems. And while I get hits with the Sennheiser systems on a regular basis (even after scanning for free frequencies) I have never had trouble with this Lectro set...

Well... ok, the only trouble I had with this is when I've tried going 50-100 yards away & had one or two thick brick, cement or stone walls between the transmitter & receiver.

Also I once caused an audio guy some trouble at a big event when I was transmitting to close to one of his frequencies. I completely screwed up his audio, while his mic was so over powered I didn't hear event one ounce of indication that there was a RF fist fight going on.
