Hi, I hope someone can help. I shot a wedding yesterday in PAL but the client wants both PAL and NTSC DVD's plus a Bluray disc.
I use Sony Vegas Pro 11 and was wondering what the best method is to produce this for them.
Is it feasable to edit the whole thing at 25fps as usual then render off the timeline to PAL format and then a seperate render for NTSC.
I assume that Bluray will play anywhere as is because pal/ntsc isn't an issue for Bluray. Is that correct?

no problem - edit 25, render to whatever needed.

1 - render to DVD mpeg2 PAL, no problem.
2 - render to 24p DVD for NTSC, it's OK in all NTSC players and no mess between 25 and 29.97 fps....

it´s easier for any NLE render from 25 to 24 fps...no need to add "extra frames" (for 29.97)......and final DVD looks better than converted to 29.97 fps NTSC... at least coming from 25 fps in my experience...

Rainer, where is 'frame blending' to be found?
I'm doing the NTSC renders as we speak. What effect will not turning it off have.
I'm rendering to NTSC 24p due to the advice given here (thanks guys!) and it looks ok.

Perhaps he had in mind "disable resample''?
