Now using lavaliers regularly and am getting intermittent cracking sounds from my Senn G3 ENG sets. End of mics are taped around the tips, as per experts advice, and mics are taped properly to actors skins underneath clothing. Mic are calibrated for best channels and cracking is not clothes rustling.
Would appreciate any advice. G3's are new. C100 camera.
Thanks
Bill

Post a sample? Hard to tell from your description. Could be anything from a random RF hit to a cable problem.

Thanks Bruce,
Let me see what I can put up. Meanwhile this camera does well in tight positions.

Might the crackling be the scales rubbing against the porcelain? I'd hate to be the one that had to mic up that actor.
