I recently recovered some of my MPEG-4 movie files which I accidentally deleted . I use Stella phoenix Data Recover software to get these files back. However I couldn't be able to actually get the files to work with the Sony Media Browser or some of other editing software. Does any body know how to put these files back to work? Much much appreciate.

Kent.

Have you tried the File | Import function in XDcam Browser? I've been able to build 'virtual' cards this way (or add data to existing SxS cards) by importing .MP4 files.

He didn't say what type of card he's using?

AFAIK, type of card shouldn't make any difference if the MP4 files are intact and playable in other programs. We're in an EX forum so I assumed the idea is to try to re-create a BPAV file structure as though from a card - which can be done even to a hard drive folder - so it then looks just like a card that was transferred directly to the hard drive.

Right, guys. I use SXS cards. I copied files to my I Mac hard drive then I undo it which cause the losses. My SXS cards has been formatted, so its total lost. I can only get the MPEG4 files but can't get it in original BPAV folders.

Does FILE | IMPORT not work for you in XDcam Browser to import the MP4 files? That's what I use to transfer an MP4 into a BPAV folder.
