I was wondering if anyone would know if the Blade record on/off trigger would work with an old Panasonic HDC27H Varicam. I am assuming that the Varicam's all have embedded timecode output through the HD-SDI connector, and that the Samurai records anytime the timecode runs?

I would like to convert my HDC27H into an HPX2700 for $1300, please advise if you know the answer, because Atomos customer support says they haven't a clue.
