Does anyone know of a remote control for Sony and Canon video cameras that also allow you to control the iris settings? I currently have a couple but they really only zoom and focus.

Thanks

To the best of my knowledge you'd need a CCU to fit on the camera and since there are a select handful of cameras that allow that in short the answer is "no".

Scott,
I dug a bit deeper and found this. Won't help but it does give some of the options available for certain Sonys.

The Canon ZR2000 LANC control will let you control the iris. It works on my XF305 and XL-H1A cams. I needed to change a setting in the cameras menu though. See the thread:

Thank you for the replies. I'm currently trying to get used to the custom wheel on an XA-10 and find it to be a bit tedious. I've learned to live with a touch screen, but that wheel to change my settings drives me nuts.

You will have a better chance finding it for a canon then you will a Sony in this price range.

Panny's have iris and focus controls. Why sony doesn't I don't know.
