Does anyone work with an external monitor like the DP-6 (Small HD). I plug mine into my Ninja 2 on the C100 and there is no picture. Went to the website and it seems like this monitor is only for the DSLR.
Is this right? Small HD hasn't e-mailed me back. Any solutions to getting it to work. Isn't a Canon... a Canon?

You need to set the DP-6 for the type of input connection you are using.
I use mine with component connection to my Canon XHA1.
I then select the appropriate item on the DP-6 setup menu.
I have also used it with my Canon HV20 via the HDMI connector.

I have a Dp-6 from my Canon 5d days. I like it because the monitor is larger than on the C100 and because I have a sun shade on it. I have checked the cable and firmware is up to date. Small HD tells me it should work. Yet....
Thanks for your comments. I'm still checking it out.

Still trouble shooting. DP-6 works fine when plugged into the C100. Either I don't know the correct setting on the external monitor or the HDMI out on the Ninja 2 doesn't work correctly. It's like working on an old car engine. Series of eliminations--
Thanks for the input.

This is a long shot, but it may be a similar situation to what I had with my Pix220 last week.
You could try resetting to the original Factory settings, then update to the current software version.
Sometimes, adding update to update can befuddle the system as it carries an ever-increasing burden of 'what-if' scenarios. Starting from fresh, then updating it from that virgin state, can provide a 'clean install'.
This approach rescued my edit systems and now my Pix 220. IIRC, this is also an issue with updating Sony's PMW-EX1Rs from v1.0 to newest software. It's like the scene from Apollo 13 - we have to find the correct sequence to apply the patches otherwise the system blows.

Good advice Matt. I'll try it.
