I was wondering what people don't like about the BMPCC from what you know so far. Keeping in mind that it only does HD. I wish it had higher framerates for some good slo mo.

Biggest dislike is that I can't get my hands on one yet:<))

I just got the bad news from a local reseller in my area that he cannot get a delivery anytime soon. He was told by the main distributor here in the US that the east coast has 5602 paid pre orders in line. :-(

Hope I'm in the middle to upper portion of that list.

An EVF, 60p and delivery tomorrow would be nice...

I'd wouldn't mind it having 60p, even if it were only in ProRes with a slightly reduced bitrate - do ProRes 422 non-HQ would be fiiiine :-)

Is it me or there is no wide angle lens option for this camera?

Don't know if you'll get wider then 21mm, with the Panasonic 7-14 f4.0

Panasonic Lumix G Vario 7-14mm f/4.0 ASPH. Lens - Micro

I plan on picking one up eventually

The Pocket Cinema Cam supposedly has a 1920x1080 sensor.

I was hoping that was about 20 or 30% higher. A little bit of over sampling for the debayer process might have been a good idea.

Can't wait to see this camera pointed at resolution charts.

I was hoping to find something much faster than f4.0 that can be comparable to a Canon 24mm f1.4 on a 5D

The restriction in low light of this camera doesn't help either.

Thinking 36mm will be as close as you'll get, that fast.

I like fast lens, but my intended use is indie film making, and I light as much as possible.

Just did a quick research and with the PL mount adapter, you'd be able to get some fast S16 lenses which would pretty much address my concerns.

Would you be interested in kicking off a thread of "non m4/3" lens options for the pocket camera. I'd love to hear about these resources.

I'm still only starting to learn about them so I might not be too resourceful but I can try to share my finds.

On another note, I've been looking at battery options for the Pocket camera and was thinking of getting an external battery pack that outputs 12V like this one:

Anker® Astro Pro 10000mAh Multi-voltage 5V / 9V / 12V 2A Dual USB Output External Battery (http://www.ianker.com/anker-astro-external-battery-backup-charger/product/79UN5V2-B16P100A)

If my calculations are right. This should give it about 10h of continuous shooting considering that a genuine Nikon EN-EL20 battery (1020mAh) will give it approximately 1h.

Is there actually any news about deliverytime? I thought July was mentioned? It's funny to see another thread talking about a camera that nobody has and that usually it's about a bmc camera. :)

Well may you ask! Not a word have I heard.

But, come July 25th, 2013, about 8 30 am I fully expect a knock on my door and it will be the delivery person with a smile, and my BMPCC.

Pigs might fly, ha ha ha. No, seriously, I’m optimistic. I already have a lens sitting here just waiting for consummation.

The place where I preordered my pocket cam, I had also preordered a lens. I happen to notice they charged my card card about 36 hours before updating their site, and my online order status, that my lens was in and shipping. So I keep checking my online card account, to see,if the charge gets initiated.

My local dealer tells me it'll be here in a week or two, so I'm pretty hopeful.

I've got one lens here waiting, a 14-42 OIS, and a MFT-EF adaptor I'm hoping might work.

Now all I need are a couple of SD cards and a couple of batteries, and ready to hit the ground running.

Which MFT-EF adaptor do you have may I ask?

Is it the Redrock Micro one?

That's exactly why the 2.5K BMCC exists.

They exist. I bet you won't like the cost.

There's the Zeiss Ultraspeed 6mm T1.3

There's the Century 6mm T1.9 (which also has an excellent 4.5mm attachment)

Otherwise a 12mm T1.6 SLR magic works well.

The HotRod PL adaptor.

Works brilliantly out of the box. Has also the option for LW lens support as well.

That's what John said, he was just pointing out that very fast wide angle lenses do exist.

Sensor too small. They should have put a 4/3 size one instead so it could use all them lenses easily. The body itself is way too tiny , a bit larger with space to fit a larger capacity battery and a larger screen with touch menus. Besides some other things too many to mention.
