Hi Guys
I have situations at Church Weddings where I have one transmitter/mic on the groom and a second on the lectern where they do the readings from. That all works fine but obviously the lectern one only gets used for a short time during the service so I end up struggling switching XLR plugs so I can switch back to the on-camera mic for general ambience and also when the priest is right up front. (they won't wear a mic here!)
I made myself a little "plug in" which allows me to insert it into Channel 2 on the camera and then plug both the 2nd receiver XLR and the on-camera mic into the box so I can then use a simple switch to cross back and forth from the on-cam mic and the lectern mic. Works very well and there are no extra cables as the male XLR plug is fixed in the plastic box.
