OK this may be a few years away before we see these in our video cameras but with a claimed 1000x improvement in light sensitivity over current CMOS etc. type technology and dramatically reduced power demands it sure looks promising :-)

But will it be Global Shutter right out of the bat? And there is a place where all sensor technologies eventually fall to the problem of dead pixels: Space.

Just as remarkable is the new batteries that are being developed using the same substance

the process for producing the individual layers in this battery is amazingly simple. They utilize a consumer level DVD burner with laser etching capabilities. They insert a DVD with graphene liquid coating the surface into a consumer PC and the laser bakes it into a battery layer. They just peel it off.

A thousand times more sensitive, eh? Have they figured out how to make a graphene ND 30 filter yet? (Just a guess; I didn't calculate the logarithm.)
