Hello all! I watched the Apprentice on the BBC last night which I understand they shoot with the PDW-800. Does anyone know or can anyone share the picture profile settings they use? This is the best xdcam footage I have seen and I'd be interested to try them the profile out on my PDW-700 which isn't getting much use at the moment. Thanks!

BBC productions tend to use Alan Roberts settings: http://thebrownings.name/WHP034/pdf/WHP034-ADD28_Sony_PDW700_XDCAM_HD.pdf

With all respect to Alan Roberts - I always wondered why there are no UserMatrix Settings changed in these BBC-recipes.
Especially because the pdw700 needs a bit matrix tweaking.
Thats why I think they either shot flat + Postpro or with their own setting.
German Broadcasters did tweak the matrix a bit here and there, with (my opinion) quite good overall results.
Lets find out who was the cameraman?

BBC productions often have a number of camera people working on them at different times, so.these need to have standardised set ups, rather than everyone doing their own matrix settings. You can have ITV productions telling you to use the BBC camera settings.
