I am curious as to what your workflow is. I recently sent my files to a friend to edit and his workflow was so different than mine that he couldn't work it out. Is there a standard workflow for filming with external sound sources?
Here is a synopsis of my work flow.
1. Copy all audio and video files to a single folder.
2. Back up the files via DVD.
3. Via quicktime I look at all of the files weeding what I want and don't want.
4. I then build my files in Premiere in the order I want them.
5. I then match the audio to those files and save them as merged in a new bin.
6. Then I proceed to edit as needed on the timeline.
7. I add any effects,
8. Color correct.
9. Sweeten the audio & add foley.
10. Render as needed.
