Hey Guys,

i´m a young dude from germany and just new to the forum.

In march i traveled with my DSLR (and my girlfriend) to New York, and i loved it. Now home again, i tried to cut a video that "carries" the vibe that i felt in those streets. Because every german person likes New York, they will alway say, that the video is good,... so i just want some opinion from american people.

Feel free to leave some criticism:

btw: I know some shots are unfortunately a bit shaky, but the very most of them were handheld.

No one ever comments on these sites anymore.

I liked your video, the pig thing was kinda gross..

It looked great, a couple of shots looked like they were shot at a higher frame rate but overall a good look.

How long did it take to shoot?

Hi Chuck,

thanks for the comment. And yes, some of the scenes, i shot with the tiny photocamera of my Girlfriend (29fps). Just filming took me one week (in between) while i was there. Editing took me prox 6 Weeks!

Thousand Oaks, CA? In 2009 i was there,... beautiful place to be!

Not bad, a lot of it happened a bit quick for me but none the less I enjoyed it.

Was the colour grading done on purpose?

I liked the sound effects with the taxi at 0:50. :)

Credits roll a bit fast IMO.

Hi Allen,
what do you mean with "on purpose"?

If you mean the cold-blueish look (with a bit stronger reds and yellows), yeah it was on purpose. ;)
And it took me a long time to do the grading and match each clip to look almost equal!

Yep, the reds and yellows is exactly what I meant, with everything else toned down. I think you did a good job on the grading. It would have taken a lot of patience.
