Hey guys,

There are countless threads around the place with hundreds of different suggestions on how to render an HD (720p/1080p) video for Youtube. I've searched this forum, but most of the threads I found are outdated or geared towards specific editing software.

So, I was hoping everyone could briefly state what settings they use, and what software.

I'll start. Hopefully this thread will be useful.

NLE: Avid Media Composer
I export a "same as source" Quicktime from Avid, then convert to .mp4 using Handbrake using the following settings:
Bitrate: 10,000kbps
Everything else set to default

I find these settings produce an acceptable image, but I have seen other videos on YouTube that look so much sharper than mine. So I'm wanting to experiment with some different settings.

Cheers everyone.
