I made a mistake while filming an event the other day.... one of my cameras was set to 640x480 30p as opposed to the HD frame size. Yes, I know rookie move!!!
This camera had some important shots that I would like to get back. Normally my workflow is to edit in HD, then use streamclip to compress down to 720x480, then onto a DVD.

So my question is, should I just edit the entire project in SD def? Will there be any quality loss on the DVD. Being that the final product is SD regardless, will it be much of an issue?

Dont worry, should be no issue to just edit in SD and then onto DVD.

I used to do this for some projects anyway (HD camera, but capturing from camera to PC as SD) and then editing in SD.

There is a little reduction in the quality but hardly noticable.
