I know a lot of APS-C and FF users knocked m43 for the larger DOF, but you gotta draw the line somewhere. The crop factor here and even greater DOF is keeping my credit card safe. For now. I stopped renting after my first year of videography, but this one may be a very wise rental next year, or perhaps later this year. Perhaps the huge DR will make me scream "Who cares about bokeh?!" Tim Polster April 29th, 2013, 01:15 PM Thanks for posting. It looks good, but to be honest, you could have said that was any modern SDOF type of camera and who would know? Nothing special jumped out as overy detailed or with massive dynamic range to me. David Stoneburner April 30th, 2013, 08:38 AM I would have to agree. Although nice it didn't jump out as WOW under 1k. Still something to put on the radar for sure. Steve Burkett April 30th, 2013, 09:01 AM I wonder if there is a camera that can produce wow footage of the cuff without the skill of the person not only filming but editing and colour grading. The footage looks rough and ready to me, filmed and edited on the fly. I'm a GH3 fan myself but I'm open to new tools if they make a positive difference. I've said before that the potential increase in dynamic range would be a real plus for outdoor high contrast shots. If it delivers on this and I reserve judgement on this, then I'll see this camera as a worthwhile investment. |
