Hi, I ahve an older gen SI2K and my dell M90 finally gave up.
Several years of loyal service, cant complain...

But now I have a chance to buy a 13 inch i5 MBP Intell 4000gpu (mac id 9,2).

Does anyone by chance know if it will run bootcamp ok wit xp32 to operate the mini ?

My sidvr is still 1.681, so I need xp32.

Another question, ist it better to run bootcamp or parallels will do ?

Thanks!

Pedro

Come on...81 views and no love ?
Has anybody used a MBP to run SiDVR 1.681 ?

How'd you managed ?
Which model of MBP ?
Bootcamp or paralels ?

TIA,

Pedro.

I only chanced upon your post or would have acknolwedged it sooner. I can't help you with Mac Book Pro. Maybe send Ari Presler an email and ask him. There is a young guy who has been running DVR on a tablet computer recently.

Hi Bob, thanks for your reply.

Yes, maybe Ari is my best bet.
Do you remember if this "tablet guy" was running 1.681 or 2.0 sidvr ?
Most capable enough tablets are win7 only, I think... no love for xp32 on tablets.

Pedro.

I think I have misinformed you.

I got it a bit wrong with the tablet computer. The young guy apparently used a Sony Vaio. He has made this rig which mounts the notebook on the back of rails with sidehandles. From the photo Ari sent me, it looks like he was running DVR2.

Ari has some cool things to talk about but nothing that can be aired on a public forum just yet. Do you have his skype address?

Thanks Bob, no worries,
I will try to locate Ari via skype or email.
