They seem to have the ergonomics well designed (wifi remote, big button proximity remote, rotatable lens, water resistant without a case...) and battery life under control but I'm finding little on IQ. Anyone tried one out?

Not personally but I spotted a whole load of them stuck to the side of various celebrities' crash-hats on a recent BBC documentary about people white-water rafting for charity.
Footage looked fine to me!

I don't own an HD Ghost yet, but I researched the action camera market thoroughly in the last months, read a lot and watched even more videos. And finally I decided to buy this Drift camera for a few projects in summer. In my opinion its shortcomings don't hurt as much as the flaws of other cameras, the price is okay and Drift Innovation seems to have better support and customer communication than the cool and famous market leader. If the HD Ghost is good enough for broadcast use (which it is), it will be good enough for me, too.

I used one in this video. It has a lot of sharpening and it is contrasty but the IQ is pretty good.
