Hello,
I am noticing more and more the use of 3D models on television. I have always liked this but never had the time to learn a true 3D program. Ligthwave was on my hard drive for a few years but it is so complex I gave up due to time. I have never seen so many choices in a computer program...
My NLE is Edius and I have CS 5 as well. I use Boris RED for some 3D extrusions and it works pretty well, but the materials are kind of basic. Plus the renders take forever since Edius is 32 bit.
So I wanted to ask if anybody had a recommendation of a 3D software package that is more on the simple side to learn/use but has a great feature set. Also that is geared towards video production.
I know, tough question because this space is a career in itself.
Thanks
