Hi,

I was checking out the ACK-E6 power supply that allows you to work the MarkII (and others) hooked up to the power outlet and Iīve found A LOT of generic versions for around us$15 (the original one costs us$120!). Does anyone have any experience with these generic power supplies? I know that us$15 itīs extremely cheap, but lets face it that for what it does the original Canon ACK-E6 is more expensive than it should be. Is anyone working with these on a daily basis? I donīt want to burn a us$1.5k camera.

I have three of these from Hong Kong. One works fine, one of the others stopped working altogether and the third worked when I cut two adjoining plugs off and attached the wires directly.

So you pays your money and you takes your chance…

I also have one of the Canon ones. Always worked never a problem.
