Played around with the Canon C100 in the HPRC 2550WIC case.

The C100 is a tight fit and pushes against the soft lid of the internal case.

With one layer of foam removed, you can safely close the lid.

I'd feel comfortable using the HPRC 2550WIC as a carry on, but I would not check or ship this case due to the lack of cushioning.
