For all our our friends and members in Texas, please get the hell out of there. If you have someone to stay with fine, or just take a vacation, leave. Even if your house survives, you will not want to be there for about a week anyway, believe me. No electricity, curfews, no water, no stores to buy goods at, and no BEER!

Take the word of someone who rode out two last year, take a vacation and just get away for a while. I got two extra rooms here!

If I survive, I will open some wine I bought to celebrate.

I'm sitting here in the southern hemisphere watching BBC World and CNN and seeing one disaster after another in the northern part of the globe. Me thinks. "Thank God I missed that one!" Then I realize I live in a city built on heaps of extinct and dormant volcanoes. If one of them blows I'll be the next guy to land on the moon :-)
