Not sure if this is news or not, but I spoke with ZGC today at the New York Cine Expo and they told me that apparently P+S is already working in Germany with Panasonic on the camera kit for the HVX200. They told me that it's not going to take months after the camera itself is released, but that the two items might hit the market around the same time. Also, it looks like only the camera kit (for the new, bigger 82mm HVX lens) is suffering modifications, and previous mini35 users can use the rest of the gear.

I am not very familiar with mini35.

What would be the overall benefits on this particular camera (HVX200) and HD recording ? What would be the price (expected) for this add-on and what would be the price of 35mm lens (that actually improve the film-look over the HVX lens) ?

I'm reading this forum since about 6 months and still wonder if i'll buy the awaited HVX or the Canon H1.

Maybe the option of mini35 will help me choose....

Thanks
Jon

I found some info on mini35 from the north american distributor

http://www.zgc.com/zgc.nsf/c7a682995edb4e7585256b4d001ebd57/b20461fb956bf08085256a8400801da2?OpenDocument#Prices

It seems quite expensive tough...

I should say VERY expensive, because there is no 35mm lens at all included if i understand well...

We have an entire forum dedicated to the Mini35...

Plus a couple of articles on our content side, the most recent one of which is a Mini35 / HD100 test shoot, link is located at www.hdvinfo.net -- hope this helps,
