I've spent the last couple of hours fruitlessly searching for an exploded parts diagram for the Sony PMW EX3.

Yes, Sony offers it on their site...but there is a hefty registration fee.

I can get to the parts list for the Sony PMW EX3 at

https://www.servicesplus.sel.sony.com/PartsPLUSSearch.aspx?ArrayVal=3

But to find the specific part number off of a diagram...hard to find.

I did find this.

SONY PMW-EX3 1ST EDITION Service Manual free download, schematics, eeprom, repair info for electronics (http://elektrotanya.com/sony_pmw-ex3_1st_edition.pdf/download.html)

And it seems to be what I want. It is not a perfect solution. It's an early version and some part numbers have changed a bit. When I enter the specific part number...it does not always come up as a current part number. But...doing a search with the part description DOES and it offers me the current part number of the piece I want.

I searched this forum...in fact the whole Sony section of DVINFO.net and could not find anything to help.

That's why I'm posting this here in case someone else is in the same boat I am. Needing a silly part number for a silly little part.

John

Thank you Chris.

DVINFO.net has been such a valuable resource for me.

Just trying to do my part to "give back".

I used to go to Sony's repair/service center, then ask them to take a look at a service manual for whatever model I needed. The service manual has all the schematics, block diagrams, parts lists, exploded views, dismantle/assembly procedures, and calibration procedures all in one manual. They gave me xerox copies of whatever pages I needed if you happen to know exactly what you're looking for.
