There has been an increased use of the 35mm shallower dof recently in TV productions. The Alexa has been used on high end documentaries, the latest Brian Cox series being one.

I suspect cameras like the Canon XF305 are used more by owner operators, rather than rental.

Perhaps the XF305 is so popular because it's being used and accepted by the BBC?

Half the cameras have large sensors, the other half 3-chip sensor blocks. I wonder what the list will look like in one year, after the Sony F55 and F5 have arrived.
