Does anyone have any recommendations for safes for storing your camera equipment? Specifically video cameras like the sony Ex1r, Z1, etc. I ve seen some safes at home depot for a few hundred dollars that look decent. Suggestions?

You must live/work in a more dangerous neighborhood than me - I've always considered a locked cabinet to be good enough.

Anyway, I think a gun cabinet or gun safe would be roomier and have space for tall things like tripods. It would be more than safe enough for even the most skiddish videographer.

Get a loud timed delay motion siren for the camera then keep it in a large suitable tool chest with a giant lock.

Chain that to an alarmed locked closet in the house and alarm the house. Sent from a freaked out burglar hating shooter.

A cabinet full of firearms, house and yard full of dogs, and a bevy of fiercely territorial neighbors with backhoes and/or hogs, all living a few miles back on a heavily wooded, gravel road.

I understand that's not a universal solution... :D
