All shot with the standard kit lens, still think the 350K is one of the best value all-rounders going.

Tom Bostick January 22nd, 2013, 01:35 PM I'm really jealous of those sunsets Chris! Chris Tangey January 22nd, 2013, 08:46 PM Thanks Mike, and Tom, you can't tell me your Texan sunsets aren't that big! Tom Roper April 26th, 2013, 02:25 PM Beautiful. Billy Nelson May 22nd, 2013, 02:05 PM Very nice....I didn't want it to end. Kevin Langdon March 24th, 2014, 03:39 PM Some lovely images. Are they straight out the camera or have they received post production to enhance them? I for one would be interested to know what scene files/settings, etc you're using. Are you using the same set up for everything you shoot or do you vary it, depending on conditions and what you're shooting? Chris Tangey May 14th, 2014, 03:51 AM Kevin, Sorry, I didn't see this, I thought DVinfo sent you notifications when somebody posted in your thread, but maybe not. Generally I use a scene setting called "rich" which was developed by your countryman, Alister Chapman, who floats around here a lot and elsewhere giving excellent advice. If you search it out he has it available for free download. Yes, most clips have been through 3 way color corrector FCP7 and a couple through the Mac Color program where I have wanted to accentuate specific colors in isolation. Hopefully not noticeable though, as I think for the most part color correction shouldn't stand out, a bit like a good soundtrack. So my preference is usually in post but I find the "rich' setting on the front of the process a good starting point for most of what I do, hope that helps! |
