Well I have just purchased a new laptop which will contain 2 SSDs on SATA3 interface.
OS 120GB Disk Read = 500MB/s
OS 120GB Disk Write = 320MB/s
Media 256GB Disk Read = 500MB/s
Media 256GB Disk Write = 260MB/s
So with these BUS speeds is anyone still using a separate scratch disk?
Media Files working with is Sony's 50Mbps and GoPro Hero 3 IIRC 35Mbps.
I just can't think the need for another disk, though I might just purchase a small 60GB mSATA disk just to keep things simple.
What's everyone's thoughts on this?
